By accessing Impact Parent Portal, parents can:

*  View grades and attendance online.

*  View class syllabus, assignments, and notes from teachers.

*  Receive alerts regarding students’ grades and attendance.

FIRST TIME USERS

At the first screen of Parent Portal, parents must create a username and password.   In order to ensure the security of student’s information, the Parent Portal will not be accessible without a personal identification number (PIN).  This PIN is not the same as the CPS ID number.

Once a PIN is generated, the parents will be provided a PIN for each of their CPS school children. Under no circumstances will a pin number be given over the phone.

The first screen that you will see is this...

Please select "Click here to sign up" in the lower left hand corner.

 

Next you will be taken to the following page...

On this page you must create a unique Username and Password. Enter all of your correct information in the boxes. An option will ask if you would like to add an e-mail address to this account. Select it and enter your e-mail address if you would like to be notified by e-mail of certain updates regarding your student(s). Scroll to the bottom of the page, check the box that you agree to the Terms of Use and submit.

 

After you have successfully set up an account, now you will have the chance to enter your student(s) information so that you can view their academic progress. Click on the link (shown by the arrow pointing in the picture below).

 

You will then be prompted to enter in your student's information including their name, address, date of birth, Student ID Number (Provided by the school) and PIN Number (Provided by school). Once the information is verified you will be able to view your child's information.

Each of these items are pretty self explanatory. Click each one to view the different items about your student.

 

Please click on the "Triggers" link to bring up the following screen...

On this page you are able to select whether or not you would like alerts when your child's grade changes or attendance is updated. You can choose to have the alert e-mailed to you or sent to you via a text message on  your cell phone.

 

SOME THINGS TO REMEMBER:

   You must log in to the IMPACT Parent Portal at least once every 30 days. If you do not log in for a period of 30 days, the information will be reset and you will need to re-register.

   Please keep your Student ID Number and PIN Number in a safe place even after you have registered in case you ever have to re-register.

    Kindergarten does not have parent portal access
